1973 is a "record" year for both days, must of had a Warm Front aorund. It was 36 years ago, and I am wondering if there was an "El Nino" at the time.

Notice that there were two records set the same day Nov. 24 th in the same year. The Record Warmest Lo and Hottest Hi.
Now this is Nice and Warm for Nov. 24 th.
Wait to you see the 25 th`s record Coldest Lo and Coolest Hi.

You are right Tornado 1555 : In 1950 it was Mighty Cold here in Jackson, Tn.
And remember in 1973 two decades later it was Mighty Warm.
Nature has a way of equalizing the Averages out so that in the long term we end up not far from normal.
Nature is Awesome.

I agree, nature always does equalize to get close to the averages, take this hurricane season, last hurricane season, and 2006, and 2005's hurricane season, they all are pointing down from the record 2005 hurricane season, in this case 2010 should be near or below average, logistically speaking due to typical warmup and slowdown trends, 2003 and 2004 lead up to 2005, which was a record, and ever since 2005, the trend has been going down hurting gasoline companys. But nature is unpredictable, and I know I won't know what will happen untill it does or gets close. It was cold in Jackson today, by the way, 4 degrees off of a record cold low!

Yes you are correct I had a Lo this Morning os 27 ° : The Record Coldest Lo for Nov. 27 th is 23 ° in 1956 & 1996. I saw a Heavy Frost also.

We ended up Not setting the Record Driest Nov. with 1.79 " here in Jackson, Tn. So the 0.72 " in 1949 stands. I`ll be a little more cautious on my timing of posting such statements. I did say that it could change though and it did.
